Favorite Places

Voices of the City team members had a great time traveling many different places in the Chicago area and recording where people are from and their favorite places. In addition to a diversity of destinations, we also recorded a variety of languages, including: Filipino, Finnish, Hindi, Kurdish Native, Lithuanian, Mandarin, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Urdu, and Vietnamese.

Thus far, 350+ voices have been recorded. Areas visited throughout the Chicago area include:

Does Racism Go Both Ways?

The original project asked participants one additional question: Is racism a two-way street? The purpose of asking this question was to bring forth varied ideas and initiate a discussion on the topic.

Voices of the City is incorporating the many insightful responses received in its next set of collages. However, we want to share with the public the preliminary result of the survey question.
